Marshall Lee x Reader x Gumball Part 11

*Fionna's POV*

After Flame Prince arrived, we set out for the Ice Kingdom. I watched Flame as the scarce amount of snow around him melted, causing me to let out a soft sigh. He heard me and a light chuckle slipped for behind his lips, watching my amused figure. A moment later, he looked at me with concern. "Your face looks paler, colder." He cupped his hands in a bowl shape and blew some of his flames towards me. The heat radiating towards me caused the blood to heat up beneath my cheeks, bringing a blush to my face. "That's more like it." He smirked at me and grabbed my tin foil wrapped hand and walked with me.
"Hey, love birds. Did you maybe forget that we are on our way to save someone? We are not going out on a moonlit walk for a date. Get your heads out of the clouds." Gumball said in a rather rude tone, his arms crossed on his chest.
My eyes, just moments ago full of bliss, drooped slightly. I hadn't forgotten, I just... Okay I may have forgotten just a bit, but that doesn't mean that-. My thought was cut off by a low growl from Flame Prince, a look of anger carved on him. I tugged on his hand using my tin foil covered one. His stance was very defensive, his teeth bared slightly. His words came out before i had the courage to stop him, "Hey, I'm here on my time to help you guys get YOUR friend back. Be grateful your 'highness.'" He spat the last word out with the more sarcasm then Marsh.
Gumball brushed off the comment and kept on walking. His eyes narrowing on the Ice Queen's castle, which had just reached our sight. "I'm very grateful for your help. I'm sorry if I came off rude." His voice was softer now, sounding like a scolded and guilty child. I peered around Flame to look at Gumball.
Gumball's eyes looked watery and a tear threatened to escape his eye. I let go of the fiery hand I was holding and grabbed a gum one. "Gumball, she's only been gone for a day. Ice Queen couldn't have done anything too bad to (Name)." I gave his hand a reassuring squeeze.
He tugged his hand away from mine, "That's what everyone said last time." His voice was low, barely above a whisper now. I searched in his eyes, as if looking for an answer. I parted my lips slightly to speak but he lifted his hand to stop me, "It was before you and I had met. I was 10 years old when I met her, she was the princess of the Earth Kingdom. She appeared human, but, like the rest of her kingdom, she could control earthly elements. Trees, rocks, vines, if it was originally from the ground beneath us she could bend it to her will. She was betrothed to me and I to her. She and I grew close and my glob was she an amazing girl. Ice Queen on the other hand, she didn't think so. The morning after my 15th birthday, I went to her house to see her, but she wasn't there. We searched every kingdom Aaa touched except one, the Ice Kingdom." He's closed his eyes for a moment, tears escaping his closed lids. He shakily took in a breath and then exhaled as smoothly as he could. "We stormed Ice Queen's castle. This was my first time meeting her, so I had no clue who she was. I approached a woman about the age of 40 and asked her if she has seen Map-" he cut himself off and took a deep breath and his voice became higher and his sobs became more frequent. "If she had seen h-her. She smiled and nodded her head and pulled me into a room. When I turned to ask her where she was the woman closed a set of ice bars. The woman slipped the crown off her wrist back onto her head and her smile was now a mocking smirk. I backed up confused and that's when I found her..." His knees shook for a moment and then he fell to the ground, his face falling into his cupped hands, "She was on the floor and not moving. I took her pulse and felt nothing. I sat there for 30 minutes trying to revive her before the banana guards found me." He cried into his hands, Marshall turned around hearing his sobs and came over. "(Name) is just like her! Her smile is the same, that excited look in her eyes, that cute laugh. She is just like Maple!" He cried harder into his hands, unable to stop himself from this vulnerable state. "We didn't even get to bury her. Ice Queen took her and we haven't been able to find her body since..." I rubbed my hand on his back. I was speechless, I had no clue Gumball had ever gone through anything this traumatic.
My hand soon was rubbing air when Gumball was pulled to his feet. "We are going to save her. We are going to save (Name) if it is the death of me." That was the voice of Marshall Lee, who was now pulling the sobbing prince in for a hug. "She is going to be okay. She is going to be just fine." He let Gumball cry into his shoulder, sliding his gray hand up and down the rapidly raising and falling back.

*Normal POV*

"Get the fuck up!" You felt a sharp pain in your side, your eyes shot open and a squeak escaped your dry lips. "About time, lazy fuck." You let out a long pained groan, your eyes closed, hoping to wake up from this nightmare. "Come on now." You felt your mothers jagged, chewed fingernails dig into your forearm; opening your scabbing cuts. You shrieked in pain and jumped up, your legs giving out right away, causing you to fall back down. "Oh come here sweetie. Let me help." She weaved her fingers through my hair and pulled me up with a hard quick pull.
Your (e/c) eyes closed, letting tears leak out as they did so. Your hands went up to where your mother's had been, to pull her hand away, but only limply fell on top of her's.  "Mom, please." You looked up into her green eyes, looking for the mother you always wanted. "Please mom, stop! Please." You pleaded, you didn't know what else to say. Your head hung low and you cried into her shoulder.
After minutes of crying I looked up, her green eyes looked watery and her stance was now ridged. "Get off me!" She wiped her hand across her eyes and pushed me to the ground. I watched as she slowly backed out of the room.
